The Debbie Green Memorial 5K Walk/Run for Leukemia — voted one of the top 263 Best Road Races in the world — provides hope, love and financial support to kids throughout the Ohio Valley who have leukemia. The 2014 recipients are Dalton Goddard of McMechen WV, Jacob Bednarski of St Clairsville OH and Krista Peraldo of Hundred WV. Race Director, Ron Green, says, "It has been a pleasure to get to know these kids and many of their family members." His hope was to give them a day that they will hold dear to their hearts forever! The race is in honor or Ron's own sister, Debbie Green, who lost her battle with leukemia when she was just seven years old. This year nearly 1200 racers and volunteers gathered at Heritage Port in Wheeling, WV to "Race for a Reason". Torrential rains just a few hours before the race miraculously cleared and gave the participants cool temps and dry roads, however, the threat of more rain forced the post-race activities inside WesBanco arena. Pasta, salad and pizza were provided by Undo's and Domino's Pizza and 350 awards were presented to the racers! The Debbie Green 5K is a race that everyone in the Ohio Valley can be proud of!

Introducing our new club logo! We are planning to order shirts and other items with the new logo! The shirts will be quality dri-fit shirts in gender-specific sizes. They will be bright yellowish/green with the black logo. We will have long and/or short sleeves so we can use them all year!
We have partnered with the Health Plan to bring the first ever Grand Prix Series to the Ohio Valley. The Series provides runners and walkers the chance to earn points and compete for awards that will be presented at the Grand Prix Banquet at the end of the year.
The Ohio Valley Trail Series (OVTS) is a mini-series comprised of three (non-paved) trail races: The Barnesville Park/Rotary Lake 5K, The Faith Family & Friends 5K, and The Barkcamp Race. Our goal is to promote the beauty of nature, offer an alternative to “just” road racing, promote trail running & walking, and of course, to advertise each individual race.
Every year we offer an incentive for those individuals who complete all three events. In 2012, we had 15 people complete the series. Each was given a pair of running gloves. In 2013, that number jumped up to 40! All of these people got a custom T-shirt. Who knows how many people we can get to experience nature's beauty this year! We invite you to be a part of this series!
