TheRaceDeal.com is the newest way to get your runners registered for the races they love. Owned and operated by local runner Nick Daniels, TheRaceDeal.com is looking to provide online registration and promotional services to races in the local area. TheRaceDeal.com offers two distinct service options: 1) Use state of the art technology for online registration services that are more user-friendly and reliable than Active.com 2) Promote races using "Race Deals" that offer special registration rates to runners while providing cost-effective advertising to race directors. Registration lists are viewable in the My Account page of members, which can be exported into Excel. Also, results can be posted for FREE! By working together, TheRaceDeal.com and the races it serves will be able to grow while providing runners safe, reliable, and user-friendly registration services.
Train to run/walk a 5K this spring with Heart and Sole!
Do you want to know how to begin a running/walking program and don't know where to start? Well, here is the clinic just for you - Heart & Sole. Join a group of interested beginners and seasoned runners and walkers every Monday beginning February 13 through April 2 at 5:30pm for an eight (8) week journey that will take you from the couch to the finish line of a 5K race. This program is designed for anyone who wants to get healthy and active. Over the course of the eight weekly meetings, we will learn about nutrition, shoes, exercise, and training, followed by a group training session to get you on the path to completing your first 5K.
The clinics will be held at Edgwood Lutheran Church at the corner of National Road and Edgington Lane in Wheeling.
Door prizes will be drawn each week for at least one free registration for a local Grand Prix event.
Everyone is welcome, no matter your fitness level - no one ever walks or runs alone. Reservations are not required, but please give Denny Stephan a call at 304.281.8550 if you plan on attending so we have an approximate head count.
